Guess what, y’all? I’m wearing SOCKS!
A weird thing to announce, right? But I HATE socks. I would be barefoot all the time if I could be. They make me miserable. So, for me to be wearing socks, it can only mean one thing: WINTER HAS ARRIVED!
I miss the warm weather already. I don’t necessarily miss all the pollen, but cold weather comes with its own brand of icky scratchy-throat, sneezy, watery-eye, scratchy cough sicknesses.
I’ve done well so far in keeping illness at bay, but with a house full of little kids, I know that getting sick is pretty much inevitable. It’s going to happen, the question is WHEN, and will I be prepared when it does?
Coffee is great to sooth the throat, soup is always awesome, we like to THINK orange juice helps, but really it just makes scratchy throats scratchier, and regular ol’ cough drops… well, let’s be honest, they never seem to do the trick as well as we’d like, so what else can we do when we feel that familiar gross funk creeping in on us?
If you’ve yet to discover Ricola Dual Action Cough Drops, I’m about to let you in on a not-so little secret, because they’re friggin’ amazing for those scratchy sore-throat can’t stop coughing kinds of days. BETTER THAN COFFEE, and I don’t say that lightly!
Ricola Dual Action Cough Drops are a multi-symptom cough drop that provides relief for coughs and sore throats, all in one drop. The outside is the hard soothing losange for your throat, and the syrup center soothes your throat and suppresses your cough. As you can see, my kids couldn’t wait until they got scratchy to tear into the bags, and after one, Holden exclaimed “I’ve never breathed so well!”–Ricola Dual Action Cough Drops really clear things up!
They combine a unique blend of ten natural Swiss alpine herbs, natural menthol and soothing syrup center for fast, safe relief you can trust.
Dual Action Cough Drops come in two awesome flavors: Swiss Cherry and Honey Lemon.
Go grab a bag or two and get to feeling better! (Or stock up before you’re feeling bad!)
I’m sharing #Ricola in my life as part of a Ricola sponsored series for Socialstars™
@anninabyrne He mentioned something about penis trampolines. I don't even know.
My 10 yo didn't know that Dick is short for Richard so he's spent the past 10 yrs thinking Dick's Sporting Goods is a store for penis sports
8yo told me that Oct 31st is "national knock-knock joke day"- which means Halloween will henceforth be known as "The Most Annoying Day Ever"
@SassyPsychDoc "It seemed like a good idea at the time"
@SassyPsychDoc I fact-checked him myself. Someone was seriously sleeping on the job that day
Thought my 8yo was lying when he said that a male woodchuck is a he-chuck & a female is a she-chuck.Nope. If I have to know that, so do you!
Sometimes advice from our kids is EXACTLY what we need to hear. Been a rough few months & what my 8yo said hit home holdinholden.com/2017/10/winn…
10yo: What is calculus? Me: It's you + me = us Husband: get out. #oldpeoplejokes
