Being away for a whole week was awesome. I didn’t have to think about surveys or book editing. Didn’t have to worry about the daily worries of life… but once you come home from vacation it’s a big smack of reality in the face.
I have so much to catch up on and to do it’s not even funny. I’ve been so tired since getting home that no matter how hard I try, I can’t seem to catch up. I’m falling asleep by 9:30pm, and on any normal night I finish up my surveys around 11pm. That leaves a lot of surveys unfinished, and even more piling up for the next day. I didn’t spend nearly as much as I thought I would at Disney, so it’s not SO important to get all of the surveys done to earn back what I spent, but there are more expenditures to come.
With all of the photos we took, I really want to make Disney photo albums. Not just for us, but for my aunt who was on vacation with us, so the pricing of two photo books has to come into play. And there are the photos that the ‘professional’ photographers at Disney took of us, which don’t come cheap from the website. Not cheap at all. So that adds in to the cost right there. There are some REALLY good photos that I just can’t pass up, so it’s gonna have to be done. Before I was a little guilty I didn’t spend everything i’d saved, but now seeing the total rack up from pictures, i’m glad I didn’t spend so much, because I have money left over for this crap. We took around 2,000 pictures, and it took me 6 days just to sort through them and get them uploaded into albums on Facebook alone, I can’t imagine how long it will take to narrow them down even farther to fit into a photobook.
In addition to all of that, I also have to start thinking about finishing up my book. I completed the 2nd draft before we left for Disney, but there’s a lot more work to be done. There’s more editing, maybe some fat to be trimmed, a lot of formatting, a few additions, and then designing the cover and actually getting it released.
My work is never done it seems! Guess I better get on top of all of this crap now before it overwhelms me.
A story for any mom who has ripped the ass out of her pants because she hasn't replaced them in forever, using the excuse "well the kids need pants more than me" holdinholden.com/2018/02/i-ri…

@BrentWalshITM Your show in RVA is the first time considering taking one of my minis to a rock show and I figured you'd know better than any- safe for a 10 yr old or wait a few years? He loves y'all but I don't think he can handle a thrashing
My kids do this funny thing where they give me all kinds of attitude in the morning while forgetting I have access to their toothbrushes while they're at school.
